Inbox is the work queue between capturing source material and saving finished recipes. It holds website and file captures, scanner deliveries, recipe drafts, AI processing results, and website source-review proposals.

Use Import from the Inbox header when you want to capture another source.

Understand the work states

• Enqueued means Viandly accepted the work and is waiting for account processing capacity.
• In progress means background processing is active now.
• Needs review means the item is ready for you to open.
• Failed means processing stopped, but retained source material may support retry or manual recovery.
• Converted means a draft has already produced a saved recipe.

The Inbox checks for changes while active work is present. New scanner deliveries, completed jobs, failures, and changed dispositions should appear without leaving the page.

Open and filter work

Select an import title to open its next useful screen. A converted title opens the saved recipe; reviewable or failed work opens its retained draft or source.

Use Active for work that still needs attention. Converted shows retained source history for saved recipes. All combines active and converted work but excludes Trash.

Search by title or source, then narrow by Source, Work state, or Sort. Select Clear to restore Any source, Any state, and the default newest-updated order.

Move work to Trash

Use the header checkbox to select every visible row, or select individual rows. Move selected to Trash removes ordinary import work from Active without deleting a saved recipe.

Trash is a separate view:

• restore an individual row when you discarded it by mistake;
• select Empty Trash only when you intend to permanently remove all trashed source text;
• temporary scanner deliveries are permanently discarded when removed because their staged files cannot be restored.
