1. Agreement and eligibility
These Terms govern access to and use of Viandly. By creating an account, signing in, or using the service, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use Viandly.
You must be at least 13 years old. If you are below the age of legal majority where you live, a parent or legal guardian must permit your use and accept responsibility for it. If you use Viandly for an organization, you represent that you are authorized to accept these Terms for that organization.
2. Accounts and security
Provide accurate account information and keep your sign-in methods, passkeys, provider accounts, devices, and recovery information secure. You are responsible for activity performed through your account unless you promptly report unauthorized access. Do not share an account in a way that defeats account limits or security controls.
Viandly may require email verification, an invitation, or another admission check. Registration availability and account limits can change as the beta grows. Contact support@viandly.com if you suspect account compromise or cannot access an account.
3. Your content
You retain ownership of content you submit to Viandly. You grant Viandly a limited, non-exclusive license to host, copy, process, transform, back up, display, and transmit that content only as needed to operate, secure, improve, and provide the service choices you make. Publishing or sharing content authorizes Viandly to display and transmit it to the intended audience until you revoke that access or remove the content, subject to ordinary caching and backup expiration.
You are responsible for your content and must have the rights needed to store, process, publish, share, or include it in a cookbook. Source attribution is encouraged and is a first-class Viandly feature, but attribution alone does not create permission to copy or publish protected expression, photographs, illustrations, or other material.
Viandly may preserve source attribution, readable references, and operational metadata when transforming content. It does not promise that an import, OCR result, AI response, conversion, or generated edition will be complete or error-free. Review content before saving, publishing, cooking, or distributing it.
5. Imports, AI, and third-party services
Use website, file, scanner, camera, and OCR imports only for material you are permitted to access and process. Do not use Viandly to evade access controls, overwhelm another service, or perform bulk scraping. Website owners and content providers may impose their own terms and technical restrictions.
AI features are optional and use an AI provider account that you configure. Your use of that provider is governed by its own terms, privacy practices, acceptable-use rules, quotas, and charges. AI output can be inaccurate, incomplete, unsafe, or unsuitable. Viandly validates output structure but cannot verify every factual or culinary claim.
Links and integrations with external services do not make those services part of Viandly. Viandly is not responsible for their availability, policies, content, billing, or actions.
6. Cooking, allergy, and food-safety responsibility
Recipes, conversions, scaling, timers, nutrition information, substitutions, AI suggestions, and baking calculations are informational tools. They are not medical, nutritional, allergen, or professional food-safety advice. Ingredient labels, cross-contamination risks, equipment, altitude, temperature, storage, and individual health needs can materially change a safe result.
You are responsible for checking ingredients, allergens, doneness, storage, and safe preparation. Use an appropriate thermometer and authoritative food-safety guidance when safety depends on time or temperature. Seek qualified professional advice for medical, allergy, nutrition, or commercial food-service decisions.
7. Acceptable use
You may not use Viandly to:
- violate law, another person's rights, or applicable provider terms;
- upload, publish, or distribute content without the necessary rights;
- harass, deceive, impersonate, threaten, or exploit another person;
- distribute malware or attempt unauthorized access, probing, or interference;
- circumvent quotas, entitlements, admission controls, or security boundaries;
- automate abusive traffic or consume disproportionate shared resources;
- expose another person's private information or private share links without permission; or
- use AI, scanner, import, sharing, or publishing features for prohibited activity.
8. Beta access, entitlements, and service limits
Viandly is currently a beta service. Account admission, free limits, temporary beta access, feature entitlements, and capacity controls may change. Reaching a limit may stop new content or work while leaving existing content available for reading, editing, export, or deletion.
Viandly does not currently offer automated paid subscriptions. Pricing, payment, renewal, refund, tax, and paid-plan terms will be published before paid checkout is made available. Beta access to a feature does not promise that the feature will remain free or available under the same limits.
9. Availability, changes, and account termination
Viandly may change, pause, limit, or discontinue features to maintain security, reliability, legal compliance, or sustainable operation. The service may experience outages or data-processing delays. Viandly does not promise uninterrupted availability.
You may export your account data and request account deletion through Account Settings. Viandly may restrict or terminate access for material or repeated violations, security risk, abusive resource use, legal requirements, or conduct that threatens the service or other users. Where practical, Viandly will provide notice and a reasonable opportunity to export private content unless doing so would create harm or violate law.
10. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Viandly is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, availability, or error-free operation.
To the extent permitted by law, Viandly and its operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost data, profits, goodwill, or business opportunity arising from use of the service. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
11. Changes and contact
Viandly may update these Terms as the service changes. The policy version and effective date identify the published terms. Material changes will be presented through an appropriate service or account notice before taking effect when practical. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
