Getting Started
Start your recipe library
Create your first recipe and learn how work moves through Viandly.
Viandly keeps recipes private unless you deliberately publish or share them. Start with a recipe you already know so you can concentrate on the workflow rather than correcting unfamiliar content.
Add the first recipe
- Sign in to Viandly.
- Open Recipes. Select Import to bring in an existing source, or New Recipe to enter one yourself or develop one with AI.
- Review the title, source attribution, ingredients, instructions, yield, and timing.
- Keep Visibility set to Private while you work.
- Save the recipe.
The recipe now appears in Recipes and is available from your other signed-in devices. See Find and manage recipes for library search, filters, detail actions, and Recently Deleted.
When entering a recipe manually, type each ingredient as a natural line. See Enter a recipe by hand for multiline entry, interpretation review, and ingredient sections.
Navigate the installed app
When Viandly is installed on a phone, tablet, or computer, the browser's toolbar is hidden. Viandly shows a Back arrow before its name in the app header instead. Use it to return to the exact previous screen, including recipe search text, filters, sorting, and pagination.
The arrow is hidden on the Viandly home screen. In an ordinary browser tab, use the browser's own Back control.
Learn the normal import flow
Imported material moves through three stages:
- Source capture retains the text Viandly received or extracted.
- Draft review lets you correct structure, assess quality, and compare the draft with its source.
- Saved recipe becomes part of your library only when you choose to save it.
